Now Hiring: Social Media Specialist

Are you a natural storyteller? Are you always in-the-know on what’s trending? Can you concept and build thoughtful, organized content calendars? Can you edit Reels and TikToks on the fly - and know the best ways to use them? Is your Instagram profile always 5-stories deep?

We have an immediate need for a Social Media Specialist for a national home products manufacturing brand. The ideal candidate will have experience with both B2C and B2B brands and audiences and be skilled at creating engaging content and copy around a range of products and services. 

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter who is highly competent and very social media savvy. You’ll be responsible for planning and executing the brand’s organic social media content in both B2C and B2B channels. You’ll also be responsible for finding on-the-fly opportunities to engage with the brand community. 

Responsibilities

  • Expert on all social media platforms & trends (memes, audio, hashtags, etc) and brings forward-thinking ideas on how they can best be used for the brand

  • Leads quarterly editorial development; this includes brainstorming and identifying relevant, timely subjects, drafting content, and using Canva or Adobe to create assets, and scheduling content in the social media tool (Khoros)

  • Looking for community engagement opportunities with followers and other brands

  • Works with Consumer Affairs and internal client teams to guide community management  

  • Identifying & boosting organic content and collaborating with other paid media partners 

  • Provide insightful monthly reporting, which includes quality insights and recommendations around content and platform strategies

  • Owns relationship with social media management tool and serves as admin/expert for agency and client

  • Oversee UGC-sharing strategy and collaborate with team to collect share-worthy content

  • Manage and mentor Junior Social Media Specialist and oversee daily responsibilities

Requirements

  • Organized and able to manage brand calendars

  • Skilled in content writing and creative development (Canva or Adobe)

    • Able to work with templates or a brand kit

    • Understands the brand look/feel/tone

  • Skilled at massaging brand messaging to be more appropriate for social media

  • Strong grasp of major social channels, their inner workings, trends and best practices

  • Able to serve as a leader and delegate to different team and agency members

  • Has presentation building and client-facing skills

  • Experience utilizing a social media management tool (this client utilizes Khoros & Talkwaker)

  • Has minimum 3 years experience
